You cannot answer the phone holding a pane in both hands. We Answer Every Call.
Every one of the glaziers we talk to knows the feeling. You are holding a pane in both hands, the phone goes, and by the time you ring back they have booked the next emergency glazier listed. We pick up in your name, day or night, and the job lands in your diary instead.
A missed call is not a missed call. It is a job that went to someone else.
Most people will not leave a voicemail. They ring the next name on the list.
Here is how it plays out.
A shop front goes through at two in the morning and the owner needs it boarded before the shutters go up. We answer, take the address, the size and whether the place is secure, and you are on your way. A £290 board-up, and the reglaze that follows it.
Everything after the phone rings.

What glazing callers actually ask.
A broken shopfront at closing time will not wait until Monday, and neither will the caller. Board-up work goes to the first firm that answers the phone.
Can you take an emergency board-up call?
Yes, and we take what you need to arrive ready — the size of the opening, ground floor or above, whether it is a shopfront or a house, and whether the property can be left as it is tonight.
Do you take pane measurements over the phone?
We take the caller's own measurements, whether it is single or double glazed, toughened or laminated if they know, and the frame material. Enough to price it or to know a survey is needed.
What about misted double glazing?
Very common, and easy to take. Number of units, rough sizes, and whether the frames are staying. We book the survey with everything already on it.
Do you handle insurance and landlord work?
We ask whether it is insured, who the insurer is, and whether there is a claim reference. It saves the second phone call.
Will you give out prices?
The ones you set — call-out, board-up and your standard unit prices. Anything else, we take the details and you come back with a figure.
You do the glazing.
